Shugo Chara Chapter 47

I actually like this splash page way better than the previous few splash pages.

Despite what the text says on that splash page, it’s not the end…yet.
Like the previous chapter, this chapter is also pretty meh (must be the lack of Ikuto or something), and what’s more it’s shorter than the usual length of a SC chapter.
Sigh…and here I was thinking Ikuto will appear again in this chapter.

Not much really happened in this chapter in my opinion, except for the stuff about the Dumpty Key and the hilarious meeting between the Jacks. Crappy summary underneath the cut.

Summary:

Amu finds Yoru under her skirt, and it seems that Yoru was separated from Ikuto due to the meteor shower, and he’s now lost in the Egg’s Cradle. And Dia reveals that if they keep going on and on the Road of Stars, they can connect to anyone’s hearts, even Ikuto’s. So Amu decided to look for everyone (in other words, by connecting to their hearts?) Tadase, Ikuto, Kiseki, and her Charas. Just then, she sees something in the between the waves of stars…
(…I’m surprised that I can understand what the hell I was typing for the past few sentences. )
Meanwhile, back at the Guardian’s Royal Garden, the Jacks (Kairi and Nagihiko) have a first time meeting. Kairi introduces himself in a rather strange accent(?), and Nagihiko responses in a kind of speech from some old Japanese play, and unexpectedly, Kairi is impressed (with his style of address). There’s also this scene when Rima tells Nagihiko that Kairi confessed to Amu (back in volume 6), and after knowing that, Nagihiko (purposely?) says that Amu likes him way better than them, resulting in an angry Rima and a Rimahiko moment. (Well, I see it AS Rimahiko, not sure about you.)
So, back to where Amu was, it turns out that what she saw in between the stars was actually a flashback of what happened a day before Ikuto left on a trip, and Tadase’s parents were quarreling over something about the Dumpty Key. At that moment, Tadase comes in, and asks about the secrets of the key. Then Tadase’s dad told them about how the Dumpty Key came about (which it leads to another flashback in the past , when he was friends with Yui and Aruto.) And after hearing about the story of the key, Tadase’s parents (somehow) made up.
Later on (still in the flashback), Kiseki asks Tadase what he has on his mind. He replies that he’s thinking of Amu and Ikuto, and that the Dumpty Key which opens hearts…it’s almost like falling in love.
After seeing the flashback, Tsukasa remarks that he, even is starting to understand…and the chapter ends with a cliffhanger.

From how the chapter ended…I got the feeling that Tadase is gonna confess to Amu? Oh wait, he already confessed to her, amirite? Ok, I don’t know anymore, I’m just hoping that the next chapter wouldn’t be too rushed. (According to ANN, the next chapter is the last chapter.)

And yes, Aruto is a pretty bishounen, just like I thought he would be. (Now I get why Ikuto is such a bishounen as well, pfft.)

As for the first meeting between the Jacks, I thought it was funny. (And no doubt, one of the more interesting parts in this chapter.)
Although I think it’ll be much more funnier if they threw Kukai in there too. (Speaking of which, where is he?!)

Also, I’m having my hopes up for Ikuto to appear in the next chapter.

Now then… time to finish that other draft.
